Participation of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Department of Archaeology in the 16th International Archaeology Students Symposium

The Department of Archaeology at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University participated in the 16th International Archaeology Students Symposium with five of its students. Representing our university at the symposium, our students Gözde Nur Ercan and Ceren Yalçın delivered a presentation titled “The Neolithic Period in the Marmara Region: Research in Thrace and Eastern Marmara,” while Erdebil Polat presented “Tumuli of Thrace.”

Additionally, our students Berat Satılmış and Şura Tank actively contributed to the organization process by serving as assistant representatives during the symposium.

This participation provided our students with a valuable academic experience and significantly contributed to the national and international visibility and recognition of our department.

This successful event not only supported the academic development of our students but also demonstrated our university’s active role in scientific activities in the field of archaeology. With their dedication and interdisciplinary collaboration, our students will continue to represent our department in the best possible way in future events.
